Public Housing Application Part 1

Public Housing Application Part 2

NOTICE: If you are using Middle Way House as your address you MUST verify with a case manager that you are on our hold mail list AND you must check for your mail frequently, otherwise you risk losing your spot on the BHA waiting list. The same holds true for those who are using the Shalom Center for their address….check with them frequently!

From the BHA Website: If you are added to the BHA waiting list, you will be notified by mail, email or phone when your name comes to the top of the waiting list or if we are updating our files. If you do not respond to our notifications, or your letter is returned undeliverable, your name will be removed from the waiting list. If you have a change of address, phone number, income or family size, you must notify us within 10 calendar days of the change. ALL CHANGES MUST BE IN WRITING. No changes will be taken over the phone. Please include your social security number on any correspondence.

Applications must first be submitted online and are not considered complete until a receipt with a confirmation number is generated and all required documentation is submitted to the BHA office. Public Housing applicants are required to submit such documentation within 10 business days of online application. HCV (Section 8) applicants must submit the required documentation as stated in an update letter to be mailed when their name nears the top of the waitlist. If an applicant fails to turn in the required documentation, the application will be considered incomplete (!!!) and therefore will not be accepted without further notice.

Reminder For Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) applicants: If your name has been reached on the waiting list, you will need to complete the full application in order to complete the application process.
