What is Domestic Violence?

Domestic Violence is violent behavior in the home committed by a current or former spouse or partner of the victim.

1 in 4 women become a victim of domestic violence in their lifetime. Physical, sexual, emotional, economic, and psychological are forms of abuse that someone can commit to harm another person.

  • Threaten to hurt you and/or your loved ones
  • Use physical force against you
  • Criticize, blame, or humiliate you
  • Controls the decision-making in the relationship
  • Threaten to hurt or harm themselves if you leave

What is Human Trafficking?

Human Trafficking is the use of violence, manipulation, or false promises of jobs and relationships to lure victims.

There are multiple types of Human Trafficking. Forced Child Labor, Domestic Servitude, Sex Trafficking, and Forced Labor are all types of Human Trafficking.

Victims can be anyone regardless of race, age, gender identity, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, immigration status, and sex.


What is Sexual Assault?

Sexual Assault is any sexual activity that you do not consent to, this includes rape and sexual coercion.

One in three women has experienced a type of sexual assault. It is important for all to understand the definition and what truly is consent. Below, is an image explaining consent and all interactions that need to occur when performing a sexual act.
